On-site Consultation & Needs Assessment
Typically the next step is scheduling an on-site consultation, which includes a Needs Assessment. When working with new clients, I like to have an initial meeting where we can walk through what needs to be organized. Choose any or all rooms and storage areas in your home. I provide you with an ESTIMATE on how long I think it will take and if one or more session will be needed.
Here is where we roll up our sleeves and work collaboratively. Most sessions last between 3-4 hours. The time it takes to organize a space is dependent on multiple variables, such as the type/size of the space, the condition of the space, the pace at which you can make decisions about what to keep, donate, sell, or discard, etc. I will work with you to ensure the process is as efficient as possible. I take a hands-on approach to organizing, helping you de-clutter and set up organizing systems that are designed for your space and your needs. You will see results right away! I will support you in making decisions. Some clients walk away after all the purging is done and leave the remaining organizing up to me. I am ok with working alone at that point or working together during the entire session. At the end of the session we will decide if another session is needed. Most jobs require several sessions to make a lasting impact in the space.
I’ll work with you to create filing systems to better manage your home office paper flow. Categories will be created, folders will be labeled, and your papers will be filed so they are easier to retrieve. Together we’ll design a system that works for you so you can maintain your new filing system on your own.
